This exploitation and consumption of ourselves has allowed us to attain new standards of perfection, or in other words, we have become “self-made” or “D-I-Y” celebrities. Thoughts From Myesha, December 2012 explores this idea by taking personal facebook updates out of its context and into a musical and poetic framework. More importantly, does it even matter? Half of these paint blobs were photographed and taken straight from the camera without editing. The other half were recreated using only digital tools.
